Sunday - October 24th

Scripture to Read Today: Matthew 26:26-31

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you."

Jesus (Matthew 26:26-27)

During this weekend's services at Calvary, we are observing the Lord's Supper, or Communion, together. We will pause during a section of worship to reflect on how Jesus gave Himself in bodily form for us and how he paid the price for our redemption in His own blood. The bread and the cup will remind us of the profound but simple beauty of the Gospel.

We will sing several songs, including Amazing Grace and Our Living Hope. The song that we will sing immediately after we take communion together will be Communion Song. It is a newer song to us at Calvary. But it is such a powerful song. The lyrics and melody blend so beautifully well together.

Read the lyrics to the song and then enjoy the YouTube video of it at the bottom of this page.

Jesus is the bread given for everyone. He gave His blood to pay for the redemption of everyone. What a Savior!

Communion Song Lyrics

Let's have a meal

Let me reveal who I am

I'm your Savior

I will kneel down

and wash all the sin from your soul

I'm your servant

I am all you need

I'm the lamb that was slain

and my blood washes you clean

I'm the pure sacrifice

Let my life give you life

I'm the lamb

I am the bread

Given for every man

I sustain you

Drink from the cup

It is my blood shed for all

I'm redemption

I am all you need

I am everything

We cry worthy

We cry worthy

We cry worthy

Is the lamb of God

You're the lamb that was slain

And your blood washes us clean

You're the pure sacrifice

Let your life give us life

You're the lamb
